Consultation Call
Get started by submitting an interest form to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation call. During the consultation call, I’ll share about my practice and current availability and invite you to share about what you are hoping to focus on in therapy. If we don’t have mutual availability or if it seems like what you’re looking for isn’t a good fit for my practice, we can discuss what other options you might consider. If we determine it seems like a good fit, I’ll send you paperwork describing my practice policies and to gather more information about your background and concerns. Once I have reviewed your paperwork, we'll schedule the intake appointment.
Intake Process
After the consultation call and receiving your paperwork, we'll schedule a 55-minute intake session. During this appointment I'll invite you to share in more detail about yourself, your background, the concerns bringing you to therapy, and any hopes/goals you have for therapy. At the end of the appointment, you'll have the option to decide whether you would like to move forward with working together.
Follow-Up Sessions
I typically meet with clients on a weekly basis for 50-minutes, preferably at a standing appointment time. However, more or less frequent sessions are possible if clinically indicated, and I'll do my best to work with your schedule if you're not able to commit to a standing appointment time. In the first few follow up sessions we will continue getting to know each other and work together to develop your individualized treatment plan.
Fees + Insurance
My fees are as follows:
Intake (55 min) = $275
Sessions (50 min) = $215
I am considered an out-of-network provider for all health insurance plans. Therapy costs may still be covered or partially covered, depending on your out-of-network benefits. I encourage you to call your insurance provider to determine your out-of-network benefits and any relevant deductible, co-pay, or session limit information. If using out-of-network benefits, you are responsible for the full fee at the time of service. I can provide you with a superbill (a receipt for therapy that includes the relevant billing codes) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
I have a limited number of sliding scale slots reserved for people from systemically marginalized communities (e.g., BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, low SES). Please reach out to learn more about current openings as relevant.
I offer convenient and secure billing via Stripe within the Simple Practice electronic health record system.
Cancellations
Please notify me as soon as possible if you know you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you miss a session without notification or cancel within less than 24 hours of your appointment, there is a $75 late cancellation fee. I understand that life happens, so I give every client one free late cancellation. If you cancel with 24+ hours notice or reschedule within the same week (mutual availability depending), no fees apply. Please note that insurance does not cover fees associated with late cancellations/missed appointments.
Telehealth
I currently offer all services via telehealth using Simple Practice. Simple Practice is a secure, HIPAA compliant platform where I conduct most aspects of my practice (i.e., record keeping, video sessions, billing, communication with clients).
